Goal Smarts

Success SmartsThe acronym KISS usually stands for Keep It Simple Stupid, but it would be more accurate and more positive if it stood for Keep It Simple Smartie. The unloving self tries to appear smart by making life more complicated than is necessary, because complications make it feel important—but that isn’t so smart.

The truth is that the more you can streamline the process of success, the smarter you are. Less is definitely more. In fact, scientists use the word ‘elegant’ to describe a process that produces maximum results with minimum effort.

The following state-of-the-smart formula for getting up close and personal with your goal has just four simple steps. Each step includes information to help increase your understanding and sharpen your focus.

    1. CHOOSE THE GOAL YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE.

  • True will power is using the free will with which you are naturally empowered.
  • Your goal might be tangible or intangible, something you want to have, do, or be.
  • Choose a goal that you are enthusiastic about experiencing, not a goal you think you should choose, or that someone else thinks you should choose.
    2. CREATE A MENTAL PICTURE OF YOUR GOAL.

  • The superconscious and subconscious dimensions of your mind are key members of your goal-getting team and assist you in consciously creating your life.  They can act more effectively when you communicate with them through mental images instead of words, because images convey more information, more accurately.
  • To sync your energy with your goal, snap a mental picture of you achieving your goal—the picture will be worth a thousand words.  Include the people, props, and actions that occur in your goal.  Be sure to put yourself in your picture of success, smiling, and wearing clothes that make you feel upbeat and confident.
    3. REALLY PUT YOURSELF IN THE PICTURE.

  • Imagine the mental image of your goal as a life-sized three dimensional globe that floats about 30 feet in front of you, slightly above the ground.
  • Create a straight, smooth, wide path between you and your goal globe.  Walk up the path and into the globe, gliding right into yourself participating in your goal.
  • Experience yourself achieving your goal as if it is happening right here, right now.  Feel your excitement and sense of accomplishment.
    4. BE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR SUCCESS!

  • The energy of gratitude is like a magnet that attracts the people, information, resources, and opportunities you need to succeed.
  • Starting now, feel as sincerely thankful for achieving your goal as you possibly can, as often as you can.
